Come beside me to Hampton Manor and meet Sophie and Chris. On 18 May 2019, the advertising group account director wed lawyer Chris inside a weekend-long celebration at, Hampton in Arden near Solihull, West Midlands. The couple fell deeply in love with the historic great thing about the country house venue, in addition to its green grounds and also the food from the Michelin starred restaurant.
"We wanted a vintage wedding having a modern touch. Neither people are particularly bold with regards to style and then we wanted to help keep a neutral colour pattern, something we knew could be timeless. We kept gravitating towards marble tones therefore we settled on a style of white, grey and gold."
"After an extended internet search, we chose to view two venues. Hampton Manor was the foremost and as soon as we arrived both of us knew it was for us. I think you have to go together with your gut and it was one of those moments. Walking into the manor we immediately felt completely in your own home."
"The Manor, inside and outside, was architecturally stunning, with beautiful period features blended perfectly with modern, stylish interiors and also the grounds were perfect, rolling greenery with beautiful old trees and wildflowers. The Manor itself houses a Michelin starred restaurant therefore we knew the food could be incredible."
The adult bridesmaids looked so elegant in their champagne bridesmaid dresses from FeelTimes– a wonderful brand of bridesmaids.
"Finding an outfit style that will suit all my bridesmaids, they would feel at ease in, would be a lot harder than I had imagined. It was vital that all my girls felt amazing so I spent lots of time searching for dresses. I loved the soft grey colour and also the romantic shape from the dresses that flatter any figure, and achieving a small nod towards the neckline of my dress made them much more perfect."
Sophie found her beautiful, from the shoulder, ball gown using its dipped neckline. The bold rose pattern makes this something so special.
"I was extremely nervous about dress shopping. I found the 'wedding gown world' strangely secretive and overwhelming. There's often no information provided on budget and no info on sizing. Apart from the beautiful design of the dress, what I loved most about this was it was so unexpected (to me and also to everyone else). I was adamant that I might have sleeves and that I don lace to feel so incredible inside a dress which was so beyond my comfort zone was liberating and empowering."
The couple met throughout their second year at Durham University via a mutual friend and were engaged for 2 years.
"Slightly awkwardly, we'd agreed to accept each other before we became a couple. Luckily the gamble paid off and also the rest is history! After two houses, two dogs and eleven many years of dating, we've got engaged inside a treehouse in Dorset. We desired to enjoy and celebrate being engaged and ensure that people didn't get overwhelmed using the planning."
"My bouquet would be a simple gathering of mixed white roses to complement the roses on my small dress and also the bridesmaids had smaller bouquets in the same style. Chris, his groomsmen and our dads had simple buttonholes of small white roses and foliage."
The bride walked towards the ceremony with all her bridesmaids and her dad before walking down the aisle to 'Wild Horses' by The Rolling Stones, played by.
"Walking towards the ceremony, I wasn't nervous whatsoever. I was focused on navigating my (magnificently) large skirt as I had kept my dress an entire surprise so hadn't practised walking so closely alongside someone! It was hilarious and extremely kept me relaxed. For all our music choices, we desired to pick classic songs that people both loved, that will stand the exam of time."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"On your day, I remember not caring one bit about some of it. All you will care about is the fact that you are marrying the love of your life and you are encompassed by your family and friends – that's the most significant thing, in the end."
