We swept up with Sandy to listen to all about the way it went.

Hi Sandy, can you tell us about yourself and the reason why you did the recent shoot?

"I work like a full-time bridal hair and makeup artist. I concentrate on multicultural weddings and travel nationally in addition to internationally, specializing in Destination Weddings. As the marriage industry continues to be massively influenced by Covid. I had the concept to do this shoot to collaborate along with other businesses within the same industry to unite together to produce awareness for people on social networking as wedding bookings will ultimately return."

Can you tell us in which you chose to shoot and why?

"I found The Petersham Hotel on the internet and loved the gorgeous archway in the entrance and the way it overlooks Richmond. The location and setting are beautiful to have an intimate wedding. The staff was super helpful and welcoming and I loved the grand Piano and staircase like a feature point. Great spots for brides to obtain their wedding photos at the time!"

How have you chosen to accessorize our gowns?

"I chose my suppliers through careful research on Instagram. I always pick the accessories and gowns that provide me inspiration to produce a desired bridal look. I like to visualize the general look in my head and make mood boards on Pinterest. If I feel a particular dress doesn't participate in this then I won't utilize it. I am also careful when choosing good quality long sleeve wedding dresses which women may wish to be able to visualize them wearing on the wedding day!"

Tell us about how exactly the shoot went.

"We did overall 3 looks in a single day therefore it was very complete and busy. We started around 9 am and didn't leave until I think around 6.30? Fighting against time once we were losing daylight would be a challenge! But we were able to pull everything off and also got some amazing content."

Do you've anything else you need to tell our followers?

"I am certain that I can say this concerning our entire industry- but it has had to be probably the most challenging times within our lives that people have faced to date. I think the marriage industry needs to be one probably the most affected industries by Covid and I don't seem like we had much support in the government whatsoever. It certainly was not a priority on their behalf regardless that it's a £10 billion annually industry! It saddens me to possess seen a lot of business owners needing to close down for example venues. I think we must do good to stay strong, to assist each other- support and promote one another. We are in this together. I am hopeful for weddings to eventually return to normalcy; it might take a few years to completely recover and I think moving forward people will certainly be opting for more intimate weddings. I think we'll have to adapt to a new way of working but I am hopeful we'll get our business back on track."
