In Lost Ark, engravings are essential for fine-tuning the appearance of your character's build. Every class comes with two Class Engravings that drastically alter the playstyle of the class, but there are also a variety of Engravings available that provide various buffs and changes to your equipment.
This guide provides an in-depth look at the most popular Engravings available in the game, as well as how to use them effectively. They're only available after level 50, which means they're only suitable for endgame content such as Chaos Dungeons and raids.
In what ways do you make use of engravings, and what are the benefits of doing so?
In the game, engravings are additional buffs and tweaks that you can apply to your character when you first begin completing T1 content - that is, content that takes place at the end of the main storyline and after you have reached level 50.
Engravings can be divided into three distinct categories: damage boosts, utility buffs, and specific Class Engravings that alter the player's overall playstyle. Damage boosts are the most common type of engraving. Engravings that are not class-specific can be used by any class in the game, whereas engravings that are class-specific can only be used by one class.
Increasing the Quality of Your Engravings
Engravings are available in three different levels, which are determined by how many points you have unlocked. There are a total of 15 points available, which are a sum of three different levels.
Engravings can be unlocked in several ways, including through accessories (earrings, necklace, rings), ability stones, and other means of earning points. In Lost Ark Gold store , players can collect, loot, and purchase various accessories and stones.
Finally, you can unlock character-specific Learned Engravings, which are referred to by a variety of different names depending on where you play; however, these Learned Engravings or Imprints can only be obtained through the purchase of books. These can be found pretty much everywhere in the world of Arkesia, including Dungeons, Raids, and Islands, among other places. It's not just a matter of finding one or two books to unlock the Learned Engraving slots; you'll need a number of them to do so.
During your first few steps into the Endgame, you'll notice how your engravings look.
This is where things start to get a little more interesting. At the beginning of endgame content, it can be difficult to get your Engravings up and running. If you don't have a lot of Engraving points in your accessories, and you don't have the Learned Engraving slots ready to go, you might as well not have an ability stone that can give you any Engraving points at all.
Now, let's take a look at a representative sample of the accessories, stones, and Learned Engravings you might have at your disposal. As a result of the math, the following is true:
One necklace for three points, one earring for three points, one Learned Engraving for six points, and one average Ability stone for ten points total are awarded. This leaves you with 22 points to work with, which is enough for one Engraving that has been maxed out to level 3 and two lower Engravings. It's possible that you'll want to concentrate on increasing your Engraving points before moving on to other content.
This is still a significant amount of work for the beginning of Engravings. You won't have access to this many points when you first start playing the game.
As an alternative, it's a good idea to concentrate solely on your Class Engraving, or on a Combat Engraving that works exceptionally well for your class (Super Charge for the Gunlancer, Desperate Salvation for the Bard, and so on). Afterwards, you can apply the Engraving TWICE in your Engraving slots, giving you a total of 6 points in total.
In order to concentrate on finding the best stone for your class, ability stones will be added later. You can, however, pick up and use virtually any stone that comes your way at the beginning of the game. It is not until much later in the game that you should begin to think about Engravings and builds that are specific to your class.

The Most Popular Engravings in Raiders of the Lost Ark Gold store
Here is a comprehensive list of every popular Engraving in The Raiders of the lost ark gold as of the time of writing. We will update this post if there are any unexpected patches with the NA/EU launch or if there are any other changes down the road. This is based on user data from KR and RU, as well as our own personal experience with the late-game content in Ark: Survival of the Fittest.
Despite the fact that Grudge and Cursed Doll appear frequently in early endgame build guides, you should prioritize other Engravings first. These Engravings have a number of significant drawbacks that make them difficult to use in the early stages of the game. When it comes to endgame content and when you've figured out how to avoid getting hit so hard, they're the best!
When it comes to classes, abilities, and playstyles, The Raiders of the is a fairly well-balanced game. However, to say that the Engravings require some balance work would be an understatement. Aside from the Engravings mentioned above, there are only a few others that are effective in specific situations. Grudge and Cursed Doll are required to complete the majority of the T1 content. Please see the note below for more information.
