For Captains, I did not care much for OSRS GP the Speed statistics. I have 1 Morale 2 Seafaring, and 2 Combat Captains of the highest tier available to me currently. (actually I believe I have unlocked an upgrade recently, but haven't yet found any of the new Captains yet)
In eoc, weapons are significantly more important than skills in determining the amount of damage you can do. Choose either Strength or Attack or Strength, and then train it without touching the other.
An attack pure benefits from being able to use advanced weapons like godswords or chaotic mauls and the Noxious scythe and when used, these weapons be able to strike with precision and the damage that armored opponents suffer. In EOC they are able to use the abilities Barge and Slaughter which are essential to attack targets who seek to flee or use the Special Attacks of AGS or Claws for the older.
A pure of strength has one weapon that is viable, which is the lv60 tzharr-ket-om. However, it is able to deal a significant amount of damage per combat level with normal attacks than other pures. Although strength pures may have accuracy problems against opponents wearing armor, they do deal more damage than attack pures against those with defense levels of lv1.
The process of getting to lv60 strength requires less time than attacking 75/80/90, thus you can begin making PKs faster. Mauls are very cheap to replace should you lose them on death. Strong pures have access the formidable Berserk ability, but they'll need to purchase an attack level for the ability to cheap OSRS gold utilize one of the better attack capabilities in EOC, and completely lack a special attacking ability in Legacy.
