Have you chosen your bridesmaid dresses yet? Because whenever your girlfriends hear what is the news, you will be inundated with requests from would-be bridesmaids.
You see, the large news is the fact that red-carpet designer, Jenny Packham, that has dressed stylish women, from royalty right through to A-lister movie stars, has established a bridesmaid collection and it is exclusive to Dessy. It's something all girls need to be worn.
Lucky bridesmaids-to-be.
So what caused this exciting development? We had a one-to-one talk to the designer concerning the development of this collaboration with Dessy.
Says the designer: " I have always aspired to produce beautiful pieces for any special occasion, however ,with a bride, the task is to produce something really special – it’s got to have that extra magic which makes the bride adore it. Designing bridal wear is just one of my greatest pleasures: to increase the signature Jenny Packham style and aesthetic to produce a beautiful, elegant bridesmaids’ collection, is very exciting."
"It's very feminine and contemporary, with vintage-inspired beading and understated embellishments."
Replies Jenny Packham: "I find inspiration everywhere I go, from the painting to some piece of jewelry to some luxury boutique. The Jenny Packham Bridesmaids collection was inspired through the English Country Garden – in the fluidity of the fabric towards the soft color palette. I’ve taken silhouettes which are popular from your ready-to-wear collection and flattering for those body shapes."
"I think it’s vital that you ensure the type ofburgundy bridesmaid dressesyou select for your bridesmaids, compliments your bridal look.
"It could be a daunting task to locate one gown for a lot of different sizes and shapes. When I’m designing, I’m always considerate and the way the cut, draping, and beading will best boost the woman who'll wear the gown, making her feel confident and delightful. I think using a tonal color palette in a number of styles is really a contemporary method for adult bridesmaids."
"Elizabeth Taylor when she married Richard Burton - she wore canary yellow and her hair was styled inside a long braid woven with white flowers."
