Amazon Game Studios MMORPG New World’s newly proposed endgame system will undergo some major changes after widespread anger in the community. Changes to the proposed endgame system will make the items, quest rewards, and faction equipment made independent of expertise.
When Amazon announced a new endgame system called Expertise for New World. The system will significantly reduce the functionality of all purchase, production or mission equipment, unless players spend dozens of hours on each individual equipment slot to improve their professional skills. Players in the gaming community are uneasy. After all, some players have spent hundreds of hours improving their various trading skills to make and use armor and sell them to earn New World Gold.
Despite some major adjustments, Expertise is still entering the New World. The crafted items, the items got by the player from the mission, and the equipment got by buying New World Gold will not be affected by the Expertise system. Items sold by other players in the game’s auction house or items got at various endgame events after the update in early January 2022 will be affected by the Expertise system.
Amazon is also expanding according to gear scales with Expertise. Instead of reducing the efficiency of the equipment to the player’s Expertise level, it is now reduced to the middle ground between the gear score of the related item and the Expertise level of the slot, so that the overall system is less punished.
Another proposed endgame system is undergoing changes in response to testing in the public testing area of games. The cooldown of Gypsum’s new endgame crafting materials has been adjusted. In addition, the Amazon New World Coins that players need to spend on production costs has also been reduced.
A major update, which will add a new seasonal event and endgame changes, is scheduled to be released this month and is currently testing New World’s public test realm.
