This is the typical "I have played WoW since I was a little girl and WOW TBC Gold my mother was feeding me the gerber mushi" opening line to this post. It's not just WoW. I have played GW2, LOTRO, SWTOR, WHO as well as every other acronym that was associated with an MMORPG. In all these games, capital cities were simply my place to wait until my group would form so I could go for a blast.

FFXIV brought me to being enthralled by the actions of people around you. I went to Limsa to get a better ranking than the old redcoats (malestrom I believe is the real name. Idk I started in Limsa so they're my obligated choice.) As I was making my way into the plaza, I vaguely heard a tune I recognized. I wasn't sure what it was and I was aware that bards play instruments to show a little respect. But what I did not realize was that bards could buy an electric guitar that can perform Enter Sandman by Metallica clear enough that I could recognize it from some distance.

for about 15 minutes I was in the room as the dude went through his entire set. Metallica, Nirvana, some other classic rock bands that I can't remember off from my head but we certainly heard on the radio. In that moment, I am watching the crowd who have gathered. And what do you think it is? The most sinister thing Lala has ever seen. And what's that? A M.Bison cosplay glamour. Is it possible that these folks are on the plaza moving in various poses to showcase their style? Do they have an emote? Where can I locate it? What is the name for that adorable minion? You'll find this on the quest! No!

There was some Incredible Hulk lookin dude giving an arc of sprouts craft class by the elevator that led to the Wench. There was another bard playing an EDM kind of nonsense on one of the harps with cat-girls holding glow sticks.

There was a ton of user driven, player made entertainment that was going through my head. The people weren't visiting Limsa to get a deal or to make it to their next grind to get preraid BiS or the chance to get a rare mount. They were enjoying their game alongside others who also enjoy those activities.

For those who have exclusively played FFXIV. I'm not making this up to farm good luck. WoW does not allow for this. In the 6 years that WoW has been around, the closest I've seen to this was when I walked around in circles with 20 other players riding the same vehicle. Cities are for vending, auctions, and waiting to join WoW. No one buy Burning Crusade Classic Gold talks let alone has concerts or gives crafting lessons for new players. If you ask another player how they were able to make an appearance for an item , you typically don't get a response and if you do its "google the item's name."
